Overview

Card Counting Academy (“we,” “us”) operates the cardcountingacademy.com website and the Card Counting Academy iOS app. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it is handled.

We do not collect your name, email address, or any other personally identifiable information. We do not sell data to third parties.

Website

The website is a static informational site. It does not use cookies, does not run third-party analytics scripts, and does not collect any personal data. No account or login is required.

iOS App

The app collects anonymous usage data to help us improve the learning experience. No personal information is collected, and no data is shared with third parties.

Device Identifier

On first launch, the app generates a random identifier (UUID) that is stored locally on your device. This identifier is not linked to your Apple ID, name, email, or any other personal information. It is used solely to group usage sessions from the same device.

Usage & Session Data

The app records anonymous interaction events — such as which screens you visit, which exercises you complete, and your performance on drills — along with basic session metadata (app version, device model, OS version, session duration). We also record touch coordinates and gesture data within the app to generate interaction heatmaps and identify usability issues. This data is sent to our servers in batches.

Screen Captures

The app periodically captures low-resolution screenshots of the app interface for session replay and debugging purposes. These captures contain only the app’s own UI — they do not capture content from other apps, notifications, or anything outside the app. Screenshots are uploaded to our servers and are used exclusively to diagnose usability issues and improve the app.

Push Notifications & Timezone

If you grant notification permission, we send your Apple Push Notification token and your device’s timezone identifier (e.g. “America/New_York”) to our servers. The timezone is used to schedule notifications at appropriate local times. We also send your current practice streak count so we can deliver relevant reminders. We do not collect GPS coordinates or precise location data.

In-App Feedback & Support

The app includes a built-in feedback system where you can submit bug reports or feature requests and communicate with our support team. Messages you send through this system are stored on our servers and associated with your anonymous device identifier — not with any personal identity. Do not include personal information in your feedback messages.

In-App Purchases

Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment information. We receive only a transaction receipt confirming your purchase status.

What We Do Not Collect

• Name, email, phone number, or any personal contact information
• Apple ID or advertising identifier (IDFA)
• GPS or precise location data
• Contacts, photos, or data from other apps

Data Storage & Security

Anonymous usage data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored on secure servers. We retain usage data for as long as it is useful for product improvement and delete it when it is no longer needed.

Children’s Privacy

Our services are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
